R513a refrigerant is a non-ozone-depleting, low global warming potential (GWP) hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) refrigerant. It is a mixture of two refrigerants, R1234yf and R134a, and has similar performance and characteristics to R134a.

The R513a refrigerant has an ozone destruction potential (ODP) of 0 and a global warming potential (GWP) of 675, much lower than the 1430 of R134a. This means that R513a refrigerant will not cause damage to the ozone layer during use and will not contribute to global warming.

The thermodynamic properties of R513a refrigerant are similar to R134a and have good cooling and thermal properties. It has a critical temperature of 25.9 degrees Celsius and a critical pressure of 29.8bar. This means that the R513a refrigerant is suitable for medium and high temperature refrigeration systems.
